Georgian Aviation University
Established in 1992, Georgian Aviation University is a for-profit private higher education institution located in Tbilisi.
GAU has an urban campus in Tbilisi. Many independent academic rankings put GAU in the top 30 best universities in Georgia.
When considering an applicant the deciding factor is always his/hers academic performance. It is worth mentioning that GAU is characterized by a mild competition among the students, there are only 2 applicants per seat. The cost of tuition for the bachelor’s programs is around 12,000 USD per year.
GAU is a small educational institution, with approximately 1000 students. The admission committee accepts the applications from foreign citizens. The Approximate number of specialists teaching at GAU is 50.
Officially recognized by the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, Georgian Aviation University (GAU) is a very small (enrollment range: 500-999 students) coeducational Georgian higher education institution. Georgian Aviation University (GAU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
This 28 years old Georgian higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations. The admission rate range is 40-50% making this Georgian higher education organization a averagely selective institution. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment. GAU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, housing, sports facilities and/or activities, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.
GAU has a strong material-technical base. The university has several type of aircraft for students, such as: A-22, Cessna-152, Piper Seneca and Boeing 737-200. It is very important that graduates successfully work in many companies and most of them work in leadership positions.
Pilot instructors with more than 10,000 hours of piloting experience train the future pilots.
Faculty of Engineering The Faculty Engineering provides 1 Doctoral, 1 graduate, 5 undergraduate and 2 vocational education programs in Georgian and English languages. After graduation of Aircraft Technical Exploitation” educational programs students are able to get B1.1 or B2 technician licenses. Georgian Language educational programs are accredited/reaccredited in 2020 and English Language educational programs are authorized/reauthorized in 2021.

Faculty of Flight Training The Faculty of Flight Training provides 2 undergraduate and 2 vocational education programs in Georgian and English languages. After graduation students are able to get CPL Single and Multi engine ICAO licenses. Georgian Language educational programs are accredited/reaccredited in 2020 and English Language educational programs are authorized/reauthorized in 2021.

Application Status:
After submission, within the 7 working days of fulfilling the application requirements, we will send you an official offer letter from the Georgian Aviation University (GAU), Georgia. On the basis of the signed offer letter, Study-Georgia will start enrollment procedure. Translation, notarization, recognition and enrollment procedures take approximately 2 – 4 weeks.
GAU has no deadline for admission. However, the University has two intakes. Students can get admission to either join Fall Academic Session (September batch) or the Spring Academic Session (February/March batch).
As soon as the enrolment procedure will be successfully completed, GAU will send you an official invitation letter which – together with other documents – will be required for the applicant to apply for a studying VISA to the closest Georgian Embassy
