Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Study-Georgia, operated by MOVAHEDI LTD, 12 Osip Mandelshtam St, Tbilisi 0129, Georgia (“we”), collects and uses personal data when you use study-georgia.ge and our admissions services. We process personal data in line with Georgia’s Law on Personal Data Protection and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation.
1. Data we collect
- Contact details: name, email, phone/WhatsApp number, country.
- Application details: date of birth, nationality, gender (optional), passport number and scan, education certificates and transcripts, chosen program and university, and any other documents you upload.
- Payment details: amount, date and payment reference. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we do not receive your full card number.
- Messages: what you send us by email, WhatsApp or our forms.
- Website usage: technical data needed to run the site and, only if you accept analytics, Google Analytics statistics.
2. Why we use it
- To prepare and submit your university application and enrollment (performing our contract with you).
- To arrange recognition of your education, visa and residence-permit documents.
- To take payments and keep accounting records (legal obligation).
- To answer your questions and keep you updated about your application.
- To improve our website, using analytics only with your consent.
3. Who we share it with
We share only what is needed with: the universities you apply to; Georgian authorities involved in education recognition, enrollment, visas and residence permits; translators and notaries; Stripe (payments); our hosting and email providers; and, if you accept analytics, Google. We never sell your personal data.
4. International transfers
Some providers (such as Stripe and Google) may process data outside Georgia. We use providers that protect data with appropriate safeguards.
5. How long we keep it
We keep application documents, including passport and education scans, for two years after your application is closed, and then delete them. You can ask us to delete them earlier. Payment and accounting records are kept for as long as Georgian law requires.
6. Security
Uploaded documents are sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, stored under long random file names on our hosting, and used only by our admissions team and the institutions handling your application.
7. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its use, to receive a copy, and to withdraw consent (for example to analytics or marketing) at any time. Email info@study-georgia.ge. You can also complain to Georgia’s Personal Data Protection Service.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies to run the website. Analytics cookies are used only if you accept them in the “Your privacy choices” banner, and you can change your choice at any time with the “Privacy choices” link at the bottom of each page.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version.
